Attendance Policy

  1. The minimum attendance requirements for each course for students are as follows:
    • Students should attend minimum 80 percent of the on‐line live classes. In each on‐line live class, student names, and duration of attendance will be recorded and filed.
      • When 15% of the classes are missed, a warning letter will be issued to the student. When the missing sessions reach 20%, the student will be formally advised about the consequences described below.
  2. The consequences for students who do not meet the minimum attendance requirements listed above are as follows:
    • Students who fail to meet the minimum attendance requirement will still be allowed to complete the course but will not receive the program completion certificate.
  3. The process by which students must report an absence is as follows:
    • Students who cannot attend an on-line, live class should inform the academy administration in writing and inform about their absence at least 48 hours prior to the class. In case of emergency, students are still expected to inform the academy administration via email. For medical leave, doctor’s letter is required. Two sessions of absence throughout the program will not be considered in the final evaluation of the attendance if the academy office is informed prior to the class and/or a doctor’s letter is submitted.
